As I mentioned in the byemould main Ebac 2650e dehumidifier review the Ebac range of dehumidifiers are a very popular brand of dehumidifier.
I particularly like the Ebac 2650e Dehumidifier due to the hydrophilic coating on its coils which makes this dehumidifier more efficient than other compressor dehumidifiers without this coating.
The Ebac 2650e comes with a carbon washable filter however for those who suffer from allergies and asthma you can purchase a Bactiguard Filter Set separately.
The Ebac 2000 series comprises of the 2650e as well as the 2850E Ebac dehumidifiers.
Both dehumidifier models feature 3.5 litre water tanks and the two dehumidifiers are similar in all aspects except for one. Therefore byemould’s review of the Ebac 2650e also applies to the 2850E .
The Ebac 2650e has an extraction rate of 18 litres per day. This extraction rate was measured in an evironment of 32C and 90% relative humidity and is suitable for areas of up to 180 square meters (1,940 square feet). It is therefore suitable for all domestic work as well as light office and industrial work.
The Ebac 2850E differs from the 2650e as its extraction rate comes in at 21 litres per day. This larger capacity makes the 2850E suitable for areas up to 210 square meters (2260 square feet).
The difference between the two dehumidifiers is therefore 30 square meters, or 320 square feet, in their application.
One slight negative that I must mention is that the dehumidifiers weigh 13kg each and can therefore be fairly have to lift, or move, for some people such as the elderly or the invalid. The design would have been improved if the unit came with Castor Wheels . However they are easily purchased, at a low price, for an optional extra and are easy to fit.
All in all, if you are looking for a domestic compressor dehumidifier I’d highly recommend the Ebac 2650e.
