Technology
Ivation 13-Pint Desiccant Dehumidifier works without a compressor, which is why it can be quieter and more efficient (in terms of energy-saving) than other devices.
Here’s how it works: the air to be dried passes through a desiccant rotating wheel that removes the water vapor directly from the air and holds it while rotating. The moisture-laden desiccant then passes through a regeneration sector, where the water vapor is hit by a heated airstream and exhausted to the outside. The process is continuous, allowing for highly effective and uninterrupted dehumidification.
Extraction and water tank
The Ivation 13-Pint Desiccant Dehumidifier features an (up to) 13-pint per day extraction rate and it’s provided with a 3,8-pint water tank with transparent level indicator and built-in handle for carrying upon removal. Through a drain hose you can also connect the unit to send water directly to a bucket or nearby drain.
Control Panel
The Ivation 13-Pint Desiccant Dehumidifier features a digital interface. Six touch buttons and an LCD display allow the user to customize the settings: other than turning the device on and off, you can adjust relative humidity level, fan speed, vent swing, screen brightness, set a timer/sleep mode, read room temperature and reservoir alert, and also change between C°/°F stat options.
Noise
The Ivation 13-Pint Desiccant Dehumidifier works without a compressor which is what usually makes a dehumidifier noisy. Its desiccant rotor, instead, provides a quiet dehumidifying.
