Extraction Rate
The EcoAir Eco DD122FW has a powerful extraction rate of 7 litres per day which tested at a relative humidity level of 60% and a temperature of 20C.
For a desiccant dehumidifier this level of extraction is similar to a 14 litre per day extraction rate of a compressor unit. The reason for this is that desiccant units are much more efficient in the UK climate.
Filter and Tank
This EcoAir Eco DD122FW model comes with anti-bacterial silver nano technology attached to the filter.
Silver Nano is a trademark of anti-bacterial and anti-fungal technology which uses silver nano-particles to kill bacteria and fungi upon contact and at ByeMould we strongly recommend that children, the elderly, those with allergies as well as those with respiratory use anti-bacterial filters.
The filter must be cleaned regularly by gently brushing it or using a vacuum to suck up the dust. If you do this every two weeks or so you will keep the dehumidifier dust free.
According to some users the filter is so good that it probably won’t need replacing during the lifetime of the dehumidifier.
There is also an anti-drip mechanism which prevents water drips when the tank is removed for emptying.
Being 2 litres in size the tank may need emptying up to 3 times per day depending on the circumstances in which it is used.
The tank can be removed from the side of the apparatus for better handling and less spillage and comes complete with handle.
Note that you do have to bend down to remove the tank so this dehumidifier might not suit people with a disability or the infirm.
A great feature is that when the tank is full the EcoAir Eco DD122FW dehumidifier will stop working until the tank is emptied therefore there will be no spillage if the dehumidifier is left unattended.
This particular dehumidifier does not come with a hose for emptying into a sink or drain.

Specifications / Features
The EcoAir Eco DD122FW measures 17.5 x 29 x 48.5cm and weighs in at a lightweight 6kg.
The items boxed weight is 7kg and the package box measures 22.9 x 35 x 55.
As you can see this small dehumidifier is lightweight and is easy to move with the attached carry handle.
The power output of this model ranges from 360W low power to 612W high power.
As with almost all dehumidifiers the ideal operating temperature range is from 1Degree – 40 Degrees Celsius.
This desiccant dehumidifier comes with an anti-tilt configuration in order to protect the safety of the user.
When the dehumidifier tilts too far it automatically turns itself off which leads to a higher degree of safety when using the dehumidifier as electricity and water make a bad mix.
Another great feature is the manually adjustable louvre, found at the top of the EcoAir Eco DD122FW dehumidifier, with which you can optimise dehumidification. The louvre can be adjusted from straight to fully horizontal and directs dry air flow in the direction in which you need it. There are three automatic louvre settings.
This EcoAir does not come with a build in humidity meter. However such meters, hygrometers, are not expensive and there is a very good one here for you to look at.
As a bonus you can use this dehumidifier on a timer which comes on during daylight hours so that you can get free electricity from solar panels if you have them.
Should the mains electricity cut out then once the power is restored the EcoAir Eco DD122FW will automatically restart and continue working on the setting that it was on before the power cut.
As with most UK dehumidifiers the operation light illuminates once the dehumidifier is running.
Economy/Turbo Switch
One of the great features of the EcoAir Eco DD122FW is the economy/turbo switch.
You can basically think of using the economy setting during summer and the turbo setting during winter.
When you want the Eco to work at a normal rate you simply leave the switch on ‘economy’. The ‘economy’ setting is the most cost effective and quietest setting therefore it is suitable for normal and night time operation.
If you want fast drying, for high humidity and very damp areas, you can switch on the ‘turbo’ switch. Once the problem is controlled you can switch back to the ‘economy’ setting.
Humidistat / Rotary Dial Control Panel
The EcoAir Eco DD122FW features a rotary humidistat with which you can control your environment.
The humidistat allows the dehumidifier to sense when to automatically stop working or when to start again. This ensures that the dehumidifier does not run 24 hours per day and is a great tool to save electricity which saves you money in even the short
The rotary dial control panel is situated on top of the dehumidifier for easy access and control.
Settings include Low, Medium, High and Laundry and with these settings you can set the humidity level between 35%-80% RH (Relative Humidity).
The medium setting achieves around 50% RH whilst the Laundry setting can be used for drying clothes (just remember to switch back to the Medium setting after using the Laundry setting).
The control panel does not lock.
Warranty
The EcoAir Eco DD122FW comes with a 2 year manufacturer warranty.
Noise
The EcoAir ECO DD122FW Desiccant Simple Dehumidifier is a very quiet dehumidifier which runs at 34dBA.
The quietness of 34dBA lies between total quietness in the desert at night time and whispering.
Therefore the noise would not pose a problem for most people.
Perfect For
The EcoAir Eco DD122FW dehumidifier is perfect for home use or other domestic uses such as in small sheds, motor homes, conservatories etc.
One reviewer said that this dehumidifier is ideal for drying clothes in front of a gas fire during winter and for cooking as it intercepts moisture before it gets on the windows.
Several other reviewers are very happy with this uk dehumidifier in their 3 bedroom house.
Tenants and Landlords, who rent or own humid apartments, should seriously consider this dehumidifier.
The best way to use this small dehumidifier in a house is to leave it in a corridor with the doors to the rooms open.
In short it’s probably one of the best dehumidifier for domestic purposes.
Box Contains
1 x EcoAir DD122FW Simple Dehumidifier
