The differences are, in fact, very basic however these differences alter the application of each dehumidifier somewhat.
Meaco Managing Director, Chris Michael, can’t tell the two DD8L dehumidifiers apart from a distance as the dehumidifiers look exactly alike. When he is close up to the machine Chris needs to look at the control panel to tell the two dehumidifiers apart. So visually both DD8L dehumidifiers look exactly the same.
The differences come into play inside the machine. The Meaco DD8L features an anti-bacterial filter whilst the Meaco DD8L Junior features a standard dust filter. Also the Meaco DD8L contains an ioniser which pulls dust into the filter. The Meaco DD8L Junior does not have this feature.
The reason why Chris Michael needs to look at the control panel to tell the two dehumidifiers apart is that he needs to see if the soft-touch ioniser button is on the machine. If the ioniser is on the panel then the unit is a Meaco DD8L Compact, if the button is missing then the unit is a Meaco DD8L Junior.
Apart from these two differences the two Meaco DD8L’s are the same machine. The two Meaco DD8L dehumidifiers can be used for different applications.
Suitable For Different Applications
The difference between the two DD8L’s is small, however these differences alter the application of each dehumidifier.
